Rate My Song scores any track you upload the way a senior A&R, producer, and mix engineer would: an overall score out of 100 with a one-sentence verdict, plus individual ratings out of 10 for melody and hook, production, arrangement, mix and master, originality, and vocals. It works for finished songs, beats, rough mixes, and demos (tell it which one in the notes and it adjusts how it judges). The feedback is deliberately concrete rather than vague encouragement: instead of saying the low end is good, it will point at how the sub bass sits under the kick. Beyond the scores you get three things that are working and should stay, three to five prioritized fixes with the where and the how (a plugin, technique, or structural change), and a commercial potential read that places the track on a spectrum from demo-stage to radio-ready, often with a current artist or genre benchmark for comparison. It is the closest thing to honest label feedback without knowing anyone at a label.
Upload your track and the AI listens across six dimensions. Melody and hook analysis weighs memorability and top-line strength. Production review covers sound design, instrument choices, layering, and whether the track has a sonic identity or sounds like a preset pack. Arrangement analysis maps the structure, dynamics, transitions, and energy curve from intro to outro. Mix and master evaluation checks balance, frequency spectrum, stereo width, loudness, and clarity. Originality scoring asks whether it sounds fresh or derivative and names reference points when they are obvious. Vocal assessment (skipped for instrumentals) covers performance, tone, delivery, and processing. Everything rolls up into the overall score, the keep-doing-this list, the fix list in priority order, and the commercial potential paragraph. Add notes if it is a beat or an unfinished demo so the weighting adapts.

It's instructed to behave like an honest mentor, not a hype man. You get three things that genuinely work, then three to five prioritized fixes, each with what's wrong, where in the track, and how to fix it (a technique, plugin move, or structural change). If the hook is weak, it says so.
Yes, but tell it. Write beat, rough mix, or demo in the notes and the judging adapts: an instrumental skips the vocal score, a rough mix gets judged on the ideas rather than the loudness. With no notes it assumes a finished song, which is unfair to a sketch.
As a calibrated opinion, not a verdict. Whether a song is good is partly taste, and the AI judges the upload it hears, so a great song in a muddy bounce scores lower than it deserves. The per-dimension breakdown and the fix list are the durable value; the number mostly helps you track progress between versions.
Where the track sits on the spectrum from demo-stage to radio-ready, including whether it reads as streaming-ready or sync-licensable, usually with a current artist or genre benchmark for reference. It's a market-context read on the recording, not a prediction that anything will chart; nobody can promise that, including A&Rs.
The best bounce you have of the full track, ideally a finished or near-finished stereo mix. Lossless or high-bitrate files give the mix and master score something real to evaluate. If you only want feedback on one dimension, say the drop arrangement or the vocal tuning, ask for that focus in the notes.
